The Greatest Soldier

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
Remembrance Day marks a time to remember our fallen heros, who stood in the trenches to obtain our freedom. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). What better way to remember them, than to remember the one who stood in the gap for you and for me, and not only for us, for our families, and for our friends who are on our side...but the one who also died for all! The sins of the whole world were paid for by His blood!

"Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29 NASB)
Which one of us would die for the enemy? Which one of us would fight for the enemy? Which one of us would use the weapon of love? Which one of us could use the weapon of love, of sacrifice? How about the weapon of our own flesh and blood... not as a weapon to kill or destroy, but rather to bring life to all? Which one of us would qualify? Would we not bend? Would we not falter?

"For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:6-8 NASB)
Amen!
